The biblical call to prayer
It is God not man, who calls us to pray...
As we have studied and read the bible we have come across these following
commands and teachings about prayer.

Ephesians 6:18
NIV- And Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and request.
NAS- With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all
perseverance and petition for all the saints.
AMP- Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and
entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all
the saints (God's consecrated people).
KJV- Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all
perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Matthew 21:22
NIV- "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
NAS-"And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
AMP- And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive.
KJV- And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
NIV- Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in
Christ Jesus.
NAS- Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ
Jesus.
AMP- Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always); be unceasing in prayer
[praying perseveringly]; Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstance may be, be thankful
and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of
that will].
KJV- Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ
Jesus concerning you.

Colossians 4:2
NIV- Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
NAS- Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;
AMP- Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your
praying] with thanksgiving.
KJV- Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

NIV = New International Version
NAS = New American Standard
AMP = Amplified Version
KJV = King James Version
Personal prayer time is what gets you closer to God and strengthens your walk
and your spirit.
To the Christian Disciple prayer needs to be the focal point of our life, it
is through prayer in fact we become Christian Disciples, Secure our
salvation, and speak to our Father in Heaven. Little or no prayer will
weaken us to the point of ineffectiveness and disconnection from God
and His power in our lives. We must continually Communicate with our
God and Father.
